From client recommendations I get to meet and work with some truly amazing people. Jill Nussinow, The Veggie Queen™ recommended my work to Chad Hyatt, an avid mushroom forager and amazing chef who uses these wild treasures in his delightful recipes. Over the years, he had many photos of mushroom hunts showing these treasures growing in the wild and piled up in his kitchen.

Our biggest challenge was how to best combine the gorgeous professional photos by Elena Feldbaum, Chad's casual snaps from the field, adorable fungi illustrations by Rosa Lara Fernandez, and complicated recipe designs. These included long introductions and various sidebars (with and without photos, short, full page and multi-page) all of which needed to be worked into layouts that were consistent throughout. We came up with some delightful collages that clearly represent the joy of finding your own food.
