The Wolf River Art League's Mid-Winter Art Show is a huge event in the New London, Wisconsin area. They showcase work from every type of artist — elementary, high school, college, non-professional and professional — in many different media. One of the best features of this local art show is the "Lost Arts" artisans. Lori Uvaas is a frequent performer making her whimsical and special art with natural wool during the show.

At the 2025 Art Show I mentioned to her that she would benefit from a lovely business card to promote her work and share at other craft events that she participates in. In 2026 she asked for my help to create a card and provided the photograph on the card above of her hummingbird with fuschia blossoms.

In exchange for the business card design I requested a wool portrait of our cats, Bodhi Saatva and Stella Blue. That's Bodhi on the left and Stella on the right combined into one portrait. Our sweet treasures are now immortalized in wool!
